All
the Praises and thanks be to Allah, The Lord of mankind and all that exists,
and peace be upon the noblest messenger and upon all his descendants and
companions and whoever calls for his religion till the Doomsday.
Allah
says in his holy book: "And who better in speech than he who says: My Lord is
Allah (believes in his oneness), and then stands firm (acts upon his order),
and invites men to Allah's (Islamic monotheism), and does righteous deeds, and
says: I am one of the Muslims"41:33
Allah
also says: "Those who convey the message of Allah and fear him, and fear non
save him. And Sufficient is Allah as reckoner" 39:33
Dear
Muslim brothers and sisters,
The
meaning of conveying Islam is to make its message reach everyone on earth..
Allah
says in the Quran:
"Say
O' Mohammad: O' mankind, verily, I am sent to you all"
7:158
"And
we have not sent you (O' Mohammad) except as a giver of glad tidings and a
warner to all mankind, but most of men know not"
34: 28
Conveying
the message of Islam is the essence of the mission of the prophet Mohammad
(peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). As well as for us and that must be
achieved in a way that Allah's proof will be realized before the people so that
the disbelievers would have no excuse in front of Allah on the Day of Judgment.
The
first stage of conveying the message of Islam is the "Word"..i.e. the verbal
stage.
The
order of conveying the message had been revealed to the prophet Mohammad (peace
and blessings of Allah be upon him). " O' messenger Mohammad, proclaim (the
message) which has been sent down to you from Allah. And if you do not , then
you have not conveyed his message" 5:67
"O'
prophet Mohammad, verily, we had sent you as a witness and a bearer of glad
tidings and a warner. And as one who invites to Allah by his leave and as a
lamp spreading light" 33:45
and
also His verse: "invite (mankind O' Mohammad) to the way of your lord with
wisdom and beautiful preaching" 16:125
One
of the legitimate beliefs in the understanding and interpretation of the Quran
is that, every order from Allah to the prophet Mohammad (peace and blessings of
Allah be upon him) is also an order to the whole Muslim nation, unless the
proof is setup upon the specialization of the matter to the prophet (peace and
blessings of Allah be upon him) only.
The
order had been directed to the prophet Mohammad (peace and blessings of Allah
be upon him) to convey the message of Islam and invite the people to the way of
Allah with wisdom and beautiful preaching, so this is an order to all the
Muslims to apply this sacred duty, as there is no proof that this order is
specialized only to the prophet (peace
and blessings of Allah be upon him), but this order has been generalized for
all Muslims.
This
is pretty clear through the verse "Let there arise out of you a group of people
inviting to all that good (Islam), enjoining Islamic monotheism and all that
Islam orders one to do, and forbidding all that Islam has forbidden. And it is
they who are the successful" 3:104
Allah
says: "Verily, those who conceal the clear proofs, the evidences and the
guidance, which was cleared for the people in the book, they are the ones
cursed by Allah and cursed by cursers" 2:159
These
noble verses indicate clearly the obligation of conveying the Islamic message
to all mankind. Otherwise, the person will be held accountable. Therefore,
conveying the general teachings of Islam like Tawheed (monotheism), believing
in the messengers, and the things that all Muslims must know is an individual
duty like fasting and praying. While in the case of the detailed teachings, it
is a collective duty, as they need special studies.
Reasons
and Results of conveying the Islamic message:
1.
It is an obligation and a duty upon each Muslim.
2.
Ceasing conveying the message of Islam and giving up this duty has
caused the recession of the Islamic Kingdom at one time starting with Andalus
and this recession continued in different parts of the Islamic World, and
unfortunately it is still going on until today.
3.
The first step in treating this recession is conveying the message of Islam to
the people immediately by all suitable means until this recession stops and
turns into expansion once more.
4.
Today's world represents one interacting unit. Elements of economy, politics,
attitude, thought and creed are in continuous reaction. And unless we work hard
to influence this world by Allah's message (Islam) with its inclusive beliefs
concerning our existence and our life, the Arab and the Islamic world will be
devoured by the rival elements.
5.
Local conflicts in Islamic countries whether, sectarian, ideological or
marginal have distracted everybody from the serious dangers surrounding them,
so we must focus on these dangers and use the guidance of the Quran and the
Sunnah and the manners of our ancestors. And this can not be achieved except by
conveying the message of Islam.
6.
Conveying the Islamic message is a religious and humanistic goal to save
humanity. Allah says " And We have sent you O' Mohammad not but as a mercy for
the mankind, Jinn and all that exists" 21:107
The
results of conveying the Islamic message:
1.
The first result is the benefit that goes back to the Muslims themselves by
improving their morale to include all the good deeds, and work to promote them
and to convey the message of Allah.
2.
The association with the world and studying current events taking place in
other countries through conveying the Islamic message will help us (as Muslims)
keep an eye on what is happening to Islam globally and what needs to be done,
and this is the first stage of the awakening.
3.
The existence of a Muslim minority in a non-Islamic country is an asset
for the whole Islamic nation, as it represents a potential source for spreading
the message of Islam locally
4.
The existence of a Muslim minority in a developed country means that an
Islamic group which has reached a high degree of scientific and worldly
civilization has joined the Islamic existence, which facilitates the conveying
the message of Islam globally.
5.
Conveying the message of Islam is our duty. We do it by the help and the
order of Allah. But the results are all in the hands of Allah. Allah says: " As
for those who strive hard in Us (Our cause) we will surely guide them to Our
path, and verily Allah is with the good doers" 29:69
For
all the previous reasons, Conveying Islamic Message Society (CIMS) was
established to do its duty towards this aim. So, it publishes Islamic books and
pamphlets in different languages to represent Islam in its proper image to all
the people allover the world whether or not they are Muslim.
The
CIMS also replies to all questions and inquiries that come from different
countries.
Trying
to commemorate the pioneer of conveying the message of Islam in
Egypt
, Eng. Mohammad Tawfik Ahmad,
the founder of the CIMS. Over 60 years ago, Mr. Tawfik has published more than
half a million Islamic papers in different languages , which he managed to
distribute in different countries around the world.
The fruit of his great
work was that Allah made him the reason for guiding more than 2500 foreigner
men and women who embraced Islam.
We
ask Allah to have mercy upon him and to let us be in his company in
Paradise
with all the prophets, the true believers, the martyrs and the good people.
We
ask Allah to accept our work and to make it only for his sake.
We
invite you, dear Muslim brothers and sisters, to participate with us in order
to achieve our aim and yours.
Allah
says: " Allah will bring his light to perfection, even though, the disbelievers
hate it" 61:8
Allah
also says: " The decision of the matter, before and after, these is only with
Allah, and on that day the believers will rejoice" 4,5
: 30
